Wayne Slager

Wayne is the Principal of Your Loan Adviser and his main role as a Finance Strategist is to meet with clients to formulate a specific finance strategy to suit their specific needs and goals.

He also maintains a close working relationship with our strategic alliances and referrers and also sets the objectives and direction for the practice.

Wayne started work with the Bank of New South Wales (now Westpac) in Brisbane in 1975 and subsequently worked throughout Queensland in various personal and business lending and plus office management roles.

After moving to the Sunshine Coast with the bank in 1993 he commenced his mortgage broking practice in 1994 as he recognised that borrowers were looking for a professional level of finance service and advice.

Wayne has a passion for his work and loves working with his valued team. He recognises that his team is an intrinsic part of his practice and a major reason for the success of Your Loan Adviser. You might even hear him introduce his team as “These are the people that make me look smart!”

Wayne’s ambition is to see every client achieve their property, investment and wealth creation goals. Nonetheless, he also finds time to enjoy a range of fitness activities. His next goal is to run a half marathon.

Jackie Carney

Jackie's whole working career has been spent within the Financial Service and Mortgage industry.  During this time she completed Certificate 1, 2 and 3 in Financial Planning (FPC) and Certificate in Mortgage Advice Planning (CeMAP). 

In 2006 Jackie and her family emigrated to the Sunshine Coast and she joined Wayne and the team at Your Loan Adviser as Client Service Manager. 

Jackie is an active property investor and likes nothing more than drawing on her experience to assist clients achieve their dreams.  She is also passionate and committed to ensuring that a quality customer service is achieved in every interaction and to developing meaningful and ongoing relationships with our clients.

Julie Kirkman

Julie has always been very passionate about investing in real estate. She purchased her first investment at 18 and has not looked back, Julie spends many hours reading and researching information which has enabled her to achieve a significant personal property portfolio.

Julie has a background of over 10 years banking experience, and has been working in the homeloan/lending industry for 4 years. She is always willing to share her knowledge and loves helping people realise they too can achieve financial freedom through property.
